How hypnotic the Cartesian worldview -
And yet the sequence just goes away
When the epistemological shift
To both/and reality
Is made and done.
The office clerk of either/or
Derides the shamanic trace -
Experiencing perceptual reality
We manage to keep
Cartesian splits alive, intact
In intellect.
But the whole job
Of making the epistemological shift
Within the shamanic experience -
Of being stuck on the spiritual path
By trying to negotiate some
Non-existent transition
In spiritual development -
Is only perceived to be there
Because
Cartesian models
Cause them to think about
The spiriual realm that way.
They haven't realized
The issue is more semantic than real.
